At charity: water, we've always believed in the power of proof. We use 100% of all public donations to directly fund water projects for communities in need and are working to bring transparency to everything from project completion with GPS coordinates to water flow with our developing sensor data.

The map above shows all completed charity: water projects to date. If you don't see your project, this may mean it's still under construction. It takes 21 months to fully complete and report back on a project.

Capturing Water Flow
In November 2015, we started deploying our first-generation remote sensors to the field to measure the flow of clean water and to let us know how well charity: water projects are working at any given time, anywhere in the world. These sensors were funded by Google and are part of our global effort to further advance transparency and sustainability throughout the water sector and to deliver water more reliably than ever before, to the people who need it most.
